Armor Proficiency
This is the first skill that you need to get to 10. This covers every kind of soldier that you can possibly have.
Weakness Locate
This is the second skill that you need to get to 10. This covers every kind of soldier that you can possibly have.
Mobility
This is the third skill that you need to get to 10. It only affects infantry.
Improved Charge
This is the fourth skill that you need to get to 10. It only affects infantry.
Quick Draw
This is the fifth skill that you need to get to 10. It only affects infantry.
Now, the rest of the skill points are subject to what kind of specialties your heroes have. SPEED is the most important factor in combat. If you shoot first, you are much more likely to WIN in a real battle or WIN with fewer losses on an XP run.
If your troops are mainly infantry, put the next 20 points you get into: Quick Draw
If your troops are mainly Cav, put your next 31 points into: Instant Mounting
If your mixed, then put 11 points into Instant Mounting, BUT decide what is going to be more important and put the next 20 points into either Quick Draw or Instant Mounting. If you’re a Dwarf and deciding between Sniper and Destroyer then figure out which one you need more and go with that one.
Things you need AFTER you have maxed out SPEED bonus skill(s):
If you’re a Dwarf that is concentrated on Sniper/Destroyers then you want to work up through Parry Training to 10 and then Precise Shot to 9.
If you’re an Orc and you have a Slurbow specialist then do the same. Otherwise skip to the next ‘then’.
If you’re a Human then you should be concentrating on Mounted Combat to 10 and
Spirited Charge to 9.
At this point your have spent 95 (if your Infantry) or 106 (If Cav Specialists).
THEN
All your additional skill levels are expensive to get.
All races should then max out Armor Proficiency & Weakness Locate. This is a LOT of WAR XP Levels, 10 to be exact.
At this point your have spent 135 (if your Infantry) or 146 (If Cav Specialists).
THEN
Infantry Specialists should work Mobility and Improved Charge, lv10 to level 20 is another 40 points total (10 levels).
Ranged Specialists should work on Parry Training to 20 and then Precise Shot to 20. That is another 42 points.
If your Cavalry Specialist then Mounted Combat to 20 and Spirited Charge to 20. That’s another 42pts.
